Here’s one a woman fell victim to last week

Getting help setting up a wallet

A woman had been chatting with someone online and they’d been discussing bitcoin and investing. The scammer suggested she set up her own account using her own password and username, and email. At some point the man was sharing screens wit the victim and she clicked on her 12 word phrase which being visible to the scammer. He was then able to access her wallet without needing any of her details. 

It’s important to remember that if anyone sees your 12 word phrase they will be able to move the bitcoin (or any other crypto) out of your wallet. It’s essentially the master password for the bitcoin wallet, regardless of if your wallet service and a login.
